Contributor, Josef Murray, documents the last remaining UCI one-day race on British soil.

Josef has created a story of images depicting the beauty and uniqueness of British Road Racing.

Curation one is from the last remaining UCI one-day race in the UK and Britain's answer to the Tour of Flanders. The CiCLE Classic.

I shot the Women’s CiCLE Classic with my Fuji X70.
I made the executive decision to leave the more powerful cameras and longer lenses at home. Instead I chose to go for more of a point and shoot style.
I love how some of these have came out. If you want to see more, head over to my Instagram @jsm.journa

About the CiCLE Classic:

"The CiCLE Classic is the UK's premier one-day cycling event. The routes cover the lanes and byways between Oakham, Rutland and Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The event offers a range of activities, including the UCI 1.2  race for  UK and international teams and a sportive for recreational cyclists. The entire CiCLE Classic team are dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience for all participants.

Inspired by the Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders races, the CiCLE Classic caters to riders of all abilities. Join us for the sportive and ride on the same roads as some of the world's best cyclists and then watch the professionals race the following day and experience for yourself what it takes to get to the finish line.

The event was first held in 2005 and quickly became famous for its unique nature, attracting riders and spectators alike. It is proud to have hosted legendary riders such as three-time World Road Race Champion Peter Sagan, the greatest sprinter roadman Mark Cavendish, and former World Road Race Champion Mads Pedersen among its past competitors.

Josef will be continuing his series at the East Cleveland Classic in the coming weeks"
