Tell us about yourself.
I’m Alonso, I'm born & based in Los Angeles, where there’s riding & racing year-round. I’m a Content Director & photographer and race gravel, criteriums, cyclocross, and other two-wheel disciplines. i-design too
What do you love about cycling
That has changed many times over the years, but currently, I’m in love with the freedom to roam it's really special these days. I’ve also become a fan of the tempo & fast rides near my place in South Pasadena, kicks your butt... but it makes you feel fit and it builds discipline over time, even in your personal life.
What barriers have you faced in cycling
I've been on a wild ride in the cycling industry! I've been working behind the scenes, dreaming up some crazy new ideas or just being a keyboard warrior. At first, it was like trying to convince a fish to ride a bike – they just didn't get it! But over time, I've managed to turn things around have very proud milestones.
On the bike I am the machine & my only barrier :)
Why were you interested in contributing?
I believe sharing & staying connected is the heartbeat of the cycling Community and to help push that, count me in all day.
Your fondest memory on the bike
Riding my bike to Las Vegas to InterBike Expo from Los Angeles with my squad. It was the first time I exceeded expectations and it’s been on ever since.
